The footpath around the field is mowed regularly and you can walk through a flower-rich field margin maintained as a traditional meadow. Sadly, it is not 'natural' but has been sown with wild flowers and old grass varieties. All the same, this newly sown margin is interesting for its flowers, insects and birds. You can get access at three points, down Beanfurlong Lane, next to the village school and at the lower right hand corner of the map opposite. |
