3.2 Annual Parish Meeting Review
Just over thirty people were present: the highest attendance to date. It is believed that Berry Close generated some interest resulting in more attending than usual. Most questions and issues raised were dealt with satisfactorily.
3.3 Planning Applications:
S/2006/0685/P Embankments to form temporary flood storage area to alleviate flooding including associated works and including an Environmental Impact Assessment on land north of M40 in the vicinity of the A361. The Council had no objections.
The next two applications are for information only. An appeal, A/2005/1573/P, has been made against the refusal of permission for the demolition of double garage and the replacement with new double garage and cottage with garage at Lyddon Lodge and permission has been granted for S/2006/0439/LB for the replacement escape roof window (revised description) at Manor House.
S/2006/0697/P A two storey extension at side and rear at 3 Poplars Road. The Council had no objections.
3.4 Speeding Traffic in Middleton Road/The Ring
The Parish Council agreed that it would ask Highways to quote for siting a bollard outside 1 The Ring and for reflector posts to be sited in Middleton Road, on the left hand side when travelling towards Banbury, to warn motorists of the bollard.
As this is something that the Parish Council can do, it is hoped that it will be effective in slowing down the traffic and preventing motorists from mounting the pavement at this point and then exiting outside 2 The Ring!
3.5 Berry Close
Nothing to report.
AOB
1. Cllr. Jones reminded the council that 2007 would be the tenth anniversary of the Parish Appraisal. This would be put on the agenda for the next meeting.
2. Cllr. Harper would contact Highways about the two large pot-holes outside October House and 35 Banbury Road. The patching outside The Glen had been completed to a higher standard than on previous occasions.
Meeting closed at 8.10 pm
The next meeting will be held on 3rd July 2006 at 7.15pm.
